Magot

Moored on a swing mooring near Brownsea Isle , Poole.

Previous Owners / Brokers Remarks ;

Up until 1987 the boat was sailed locally.It then went down to the Mediterranean via the French canals , and spent the next five years living on the vessel and cruising the French and Spanish coasts , before returning to the UK again via the french canals , and cruising locally.
The owners who are well into their 70s consider the boat to be easily handled and to be eminently safe , and very strongly built . It has a surprisingly good sailing performance and the 42hp mercedes engine is both reliable and economical on fuel The large fuel and water tanks respectively were found to be particularly advantageous when cruising in the Mediterranean.

Magot, according to wikipedia is another name for Barbary Ape. Could be a coincidence but there could be a connection!
